Linda Spalding was born in Kansas and lived in Hawaii before immigrating to Toronto in 1982. Her non-fiction work, The Follow, was short-listed for the Trillium Book Award and the Pearson Writers’ Trust Non-Fiction Prize. Who Named the Knife, is an intimate portrait of her relationship as a juror with the defendant in a murder trial. Among her four novels, her most recent, The Purchase, won the Governor General’s Award for fiction. A new novel will be published in 2017.
