Bidisha is a writer and broadcaster who began her career at 14, as a critic for various arts publications. She signed her first book deal at 16. She currently presents arts shows and documentaries for BBC Radio 3, 4 and the World Service and writes for The New Statesman, the FT, The Guardian and The Observer. She judged the Orange Prize for Fiction in 2009 and the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize in 2010. Her latest book is Venetian Masters.
