Rose Fenton is an international arts producer and advisor. She co-founded the London International Festival of Theatre (LIFT) and was its co-director for 25 years. From 2011 – 2016 Rose was the Director of Free Word, a centre for literature, literacy and free expression that explores the power and politics of words through residencies and events with writers, artists and activists, sparking critical conversations about society, culture and politics. Throughout her professional life Rose has worked with many artists and writers from the Arab speaking world, including presenting and commissioning theatre from Palestine.
Rose is on the boards of several arts organisations in the UK and internationally. She is co-author with Lucy Neal of The Turning World: Stories from the London International Festival of Theatre. In 2005 Rose was awarded an OBE for Services to Drama.
