Ismail Khalidi

اسماعيل خالدي كاتب مسرحي وشاعر ومخرج فلسطيني أمريكي من مواليد بيروت عام ١٩٨٢.  له عدة مسرحيات منها  Truth Serum Blues (التي عرضت على مسرح بانجيا في مينيسوتا في ٢٠٠٥) و Foot (٢٠٠٧) و Final Status (٢٠٠٩) و Tennis in Nablus (التي عرضت على مسرح ألايانس في ولاية جورجيا في ٢٠١٠)، بالإضافة إلى مسرحية Sabra Falling (٢٠١٣). وقد شارك في مسرحة رواية “عائد إلى حيفا” لغسان كنفاني في ٢٠١٤. شارك خالدي أيضاً الكاتبة الأمريكية نايومي والاس في تحرير كتاب يضم مجموعة مسرحيات بعنوان Inside/Outside: Six Plays from Palestine and the Diaspora  والذي صدر عام ٢٠١٥. نشرت كتاباته في عدة محافل منها جريدة «مِزنة»، وهي جريدة عربية أمريكية، ومجلة Guernica وهي مجلة أمريكية تتناول مواضيع سياسية وأدبية وفنية، وجريدة The Nation الأسبوعية، ومجلات American Theatre وthe Daily Beast، ومجلة ReMezcla في أمريكا الجنوبية. حصل خالدي على الماجستير في الكتابة المسرحية من جامعة نيويورك، ويقيم حاليا في تشيلي حيث يعمل في مسرح  Teatro Amal

Born in Beirut in 1982, Ismail Khalidi is a Palestinian American playwright, poet and director. His plays include Truth Serum Blues (Pangea World Theatre, 2005), Foot (2007), Final Status (2009), Tennis in Nablus (Alliance Theatre, 2010), Sabra Falling (2013) and a co-adaptation of Returning to Haifa (2014). He is the co-editor, with Naomi Wallace, of Inside/Outside: Six Plays from Palestine and the Diaspora (TCG, 2015). His writing has appeared in Mizna, Guernica, The Nation, American Theatre, the Daily Beast, and ReMezcla. Khalidi received his MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. He currently lives in Chile where he is an artist-in-residence at Teatro Amal.
