Michael Ondaatje

وُلد مايكل أونداتجي في سريلانكا ويعيش في كندا منذ عام 1963

تشمل كتبه The Cat's Table و Anil's Ghost وThe English Patient  و In the Skin of a Lion  و Coming Through Slaughter ومذكرات بعنوان Running in the Family و The Conversations: Walter Murch and the Art of Editing Film و Warlight التي صدرت في ٢٠١٨. كما تضم أعماله الشعرية The Cinnamon Peeler و Handwriting.

حضر مهرجان فلسطين للأدب لعام 2014.

"ما شهدناه في الأراضي الفلسطينية - في الخليل والقدس وحيفا وغيرها من المدن - خلال فترة وجودنا هناك مع مهرجان فلسطين للأدب كان محو شبه كامل لحقوق الإنسان - حقوق التنقل وحقوق الملكية للسكن والأرض. لا يمكن تصديق الظروف المذلة والقيود اللذين يتعرض لهم الفلسطينيون بشكل صريح، وانها مستمرة في القرن الحادي والعشرين بدون عوائق أو اعتراض."

Michael Ondaatje was born in Sri Lanka and has lived  in Canada since 1963. His books include The Cat's Table, Anil’s Ghost, The English Patient, In the Skin of a Lion, and Coming Through Slaughter,  a memoir called Running in the Family, The Conversations: Walter Murch and the Art of Editing Film and Warlight, published  2018. His collections of poetry include  The Cinnamon Peeler and Handwriting.

He attended the 2014 Palestine Festival of Literature.
